I do not like looking at politics as a pure strategy game because it is much more about values and country
than strategy, but I believe that this selection for Vice President seals the election,
“Alaska Gov. Palin to be Named as McCain Running Mate.”
This is a seriously strong strategic political ‘maneuver.’
McCain picks a woman who on the balance appears to be a conservative (definitely more so than McCain);
and for those on the Left that subscribe to voting by identity politics,
it gives moderate Democrats and disgruntled Hillary supporters a place and a reason to voice displeasure
with the Democrat party.
I am not a McCain supporter; but for better (by the grace of God alone) or worse,
Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin will be the next President and Vice-President of the United States of America. (I was wrong.)
