I do not like looking at politics as a pure strategy game because it is much more about values and country than strategy, but I believe that this selection for Vice President seals the election, “Alaska Gov. Palin to be Named as McCain Running Mate.” This is a seriously strong strategic political ‘maneuver.’ McCain picks a woman who on the balance appears to be a conservative (definitely more so than McCain); and for those on the Left that subscribe to voting by identity politics, it gives moderate Democrats and disgruntled Hillary supporters a place and a reason to voice displeasure with the Democrat party. I am not a McCain supporter; but for better (by the grace of God alone) or worse, Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin will be the next President and Vice-President of the United States of America. (I was wrong.)

As if public education does not have enough time with our kids, “Protect Our Kids from Preschool” (article linked and referred to by Rush Limbaugh). Does it every occur to the Left that the parents should spend some time with their growing children? But of course, trusting parents to raise their kids does not depend upon the benevolence of the overseeing and ever-expanding State.

I am not one that has blind faith in statistics, but God’s ways always seem to turn out to benefit those abiding by them, “Church Attendance Boosts Student GPAs.” Now, the actual correlation could actually be God’s blessings, but it could also be due to parents that use ‘Biblical’ as opposed to psychological discipline (spanking is under attack by the Left… because it is effective when done with the right motives). Regardless of the reason, the correlation exists.

Huh? This is too much. Not surprisingly, Russia repeated used ‘peaceful’ rhetoric to consistent lie to the West during the invasion (which befuddled Leftists who believe in ‘peace’ through negotiation but don’t understand communist dictators Presidents). Now Putin blames the US for the invasion, “Putin accuses U.S. of orchestrating Georgian war?” It’s surreal, and it has similarities to how the Left also blames the US for essentially everything.

If something raises flags about motives, how about this recent suggestion from the UN ‘anti-poverty’ program, “How Much Discretion? U.N.’s Anti-Poverty Program Wants Unlimited Spending Power.” In addition to promoting a liberal agenda of government control ‘for the children,’ they use the ‘poor’ unashamedly the same way. This is an example of how the Left blatantly uses the weak members of society to further their own agenda, and the agenda has nothing to do with the poor or the children. They are only the vehicle. When someone wants unlimited and unrestricted access to money, no matter the reason, it is a red flag. When combined with the UN’s previous corruption issues, it should be more than a deal-breaker. It should be an eye-opener.

A scientist is trying to build a 50 foot long wind shield to stop a glacier from melting, “Giant Windshield May Stop Glacial Melt.” If this works, we could expand the program and park junk SUV’s around melting glaciers.

No one said that Christianity is a science. It was never intended to be (by God), but the bias against Christian ideals is clear, “Report: Judge Says University Can Deny Course Credit to Christian Graduates Taught With Creationism Texts.” While people sit on their high horse in judgement of what makes real science, God sits on his high throne examining the hearts of men, and He isn’t intimidated by people that don’t believe that He exists. His motive is not to ‘prove’ that He exists. After all, He has inflicted plagues on an oppressive nation to deliver His people and prove His power, and the people still rebelled. He has also taken the miracle route, and they killed Him (for a couple days at least).

All this, and there is yet a fight to this day, manifested here within education and politics; but the fight that is being waged has a different character than what appears on the surface. God exists. No law or education policy will prevent it; so get over it. Or better, demonstrate a change of heart… and faith.

People do things the way they want to, but over and over, it appears that God’s way just turns out better. So while media promotes sex outside of marriage as well as other lifestyles, some things in life are ‘traditional’ for a reason, “Study: Health Gap Closing Between Married, Single People.” It’s an equal opportunity provision too. God’s not trying to cheat anybody.

This is the kind of response you get when you offer candy to communists in the form of hosting the Olympics (in practical use, not that the Olympics should be a ‘reward’ mechanism). Evidently, this is the only way to enforce the Constitution in Washington D.C. I am glad that the House is moving in this direction. FOXNews.com reports, “House Will Hold Vote to Wrest Gun Control From Washington, D.C., Government.” Constitutional ruling or not, Washington D.C. proceeded with their gun control agenda, perhaps acceding to a token ‘compromise’ change. The problem is that the Constitution means nothing to the Left except when it supports their pet issues, and even then the application is often and usually distorted. Were Washington D.C. to be a state, this could not happen.

This is an example of how environmental alarmism often distorts reality to achieve the agenda. FOXNews.com reports, “Researchers Discover 125,000 Gorillas in Congo Forests.” They will talk about the endangered turtles or how polar bears should be classified as endangered, even with the populations increasing. To prove the point, the article states, “Scientists meeting at the International Primatological Society Congress in Edinburgh said they hoped the report will help spur global action to defend mankind’s nearest relatives from deforestation and hunting.” In other words, do what we say no matter what happens to the gorillas. They are pawns not just primates.

It may all sound too subtle to be true, but the environmental agenda uses exaggerated threats to other endangered species to stop progress in other parts of the world including and especially within the United States. There is nothing wrong with conservation or with protecting various species, but it used as a guise under which to promote the rest of the Leftist agenda.

Recently, Alaska has had to sue over the status of the polar bear because it will be used to stop exploration of oil, “Alaska Sues U.S. Over ‘Threatened’ Polar Bear Status.” This is throwing the courts right back at the Left which is poetic, but the polar bears are illustrative of how these elements are used to stop growth, especially growth in oil production.

This will have the Left cooing. FOXNews.com reports, “Al-Sadr Plans to Turn Militia Into Civic Organization.” There is obviously nothing wrong with peace nor with helping others in need, but from the man that said he was the arm of Hezzballah in Iraq, it stretches believability.

These people that vote for Democrats better look down the road and see what is in the minds of the leaders they are trying to elect. FOXNews.com reports, “Are we heading for a human-powered future?.” They are out to control us by controlling our energy usage, and they will try to control our energy usage under the guise of saving and protecting the planet. As part of that quest, the pertinent quote from the article is, “Human power is rapidly gaining in popularity worldwide as businesses seek ‘greener’ methods of operating.” Now someone suggests a future where we power our own devices.

If we run out of gas here, now we can import natural gas from Titan. FOXNews.com reports, “Liquid Confirmed on Surface of Saturn’s Moon.” So, methane and ethane are not exactly ‘fossil fuels’ anymore.

While we look at events like this one as a bit eccentric and wasteful, the Left looks at it as heresy and near criminal. FOXNews.com reports, “Report: Ultra-Rich Man Flies Lamborghini to U.K. From Qatar for Service.” Reactions like this from the Left are examples of why we need to completely reject global warming alarmism. The car is his, and the money is his. Can’t he do what he wants with it?

Socialism encroaches on freedom by incremental expansion of government power and control into the lives of the citizens. Strangely enough, as with the frog in the pot of slowly heating water, it does it with the consent of many of those affected. FOXNews.com reports, “Obama: Tax Cuts for Lower Income Earners Will Spark ‘Bottom Up’ Growth.” ‘Bottom-up’ growth is one such deception. Obama is promoting the same old policies of class envy and ‘punish’ the rich in a new suit of ‘growth.’

How morbid can desperate Democrat partisans get? This lady’s vote for Hillary Clinton did not count because she died before the election.
